Industrial Background

NANOGAP was founded in 2006 to commercialize proprietary technologies in the production and use of novel nanomaterials. During this process we have worked with our customers, technologists and advisors to understand the needs of industry and the challenges involved in commercializing nanotechnology. As a result, we are able to offer easy-to-use, optimally-dispersed materials that are custom tailored to our customers’ specific requirements, ensuring maximum product performance and value. In line with this development process, we have invested in a versatile, state-of-the-art production plant in our new, fully-equipped facility. This allows us to control and optimize product parameters such as particle size, shape and surface functionalization and offer products in a variety of carrier fluids, while providing production capacity to service our customers’ growth and success.

Scientific Background

NANOGAP was originally spun out of the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain) NanoMag Research Group. This technology group has more than twenty years experience in production and characterization of NanoParticles, and more than 250 publications in scientific journals. This scientific pedigree is a key advantage for NANOGAP in the marketplace. Directors of the NanoMag research group, Professors Arturo Lopez-Quintela and Jose Rivas also lead NANOGAP's scientific advisory board, supported by leading scientists in the fields of materials science, energy and medicine. The scientific advisory board is actively involved in all NANOGAP's projects ensuring all products are optimally tailored for each customer and application.

Enterprise Financial Support

NANOGAP was designated as one of the most significant contributors to the development of nanotechnology in Spain in 2006. Several government institutions have provided financial support to NANOGAP, allowing for the development of our business, and successful commercial application of nanotechnology
solutions to industry.
