Industrial Background

Nanogap was formed in 2006 to commercialize proprietary technology on the production and use of novel nanoparticle materials. During this process we have worked with our customers and advisors to understand the needs of industry and the challenges involved in commercializing nanotechnology. As as result of this we are able to offer easy to use, optimally dispersed materials that are custom tailored to your specific requirements, ensuring maximum product performance and value. In line with this development process we have invested in an extremely versatile production facility in fully equipped new premises. This allows us to control and optimize product parameters such as particle size, shape and surface functionalisation and offer products in a variety of carrier fluids, while providing production capacity to service your growth and success.

Scientific Background

Nanogap is a spin-out company from the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, born from the NanoMag research group, with more than twenty years experience in production and properties of nanoparticles, and more than 250 publications in scientific journals. This scientific pedigree is a key advantage for Nanogap in the marketplace as the Directors of the NanoMag research group, Professor's Arturo Lopez-Quintela and Jose Rivas also head-up Nanogap's scientific advisory board, supported by leading scientists in the fields of materials science, energy and medicine. The scientific advisory board is actively involved in all Nanogap's projects ensuring all products are optimally tailored for each customer and application.

Enterprise Financial Support

Nanogap was designated as one of the most significant nanotechnology projects in Spain in 2006. Several government institutions provided financial support which allowed Nanogap to develop its business through the successful application of nanotechnology in industry.
