NANOGAP participates in a number of European and Nationally funded collaborative projects. The followings sections give a brief overview of our current projects FLUOROMAGAn EU FP6 project which aims to integrate the development of bioconjugated noble metal atomic quantum clusters as new highly absorbing, fluorescent and magnetic probes for increased sensitivity in cellular and molecular recognition. The commercial objective is to develop a computer controlled programmable array microscope utilising a liquid crystal on silicon spatial light modulator to achieve multi parameter sensing with high speed sectioning microscopy. NANOGAPs principal involvement in the project is through the development of the functionalised atomic quantum clusters. |
