The followings sections give a brief overview of our current and completed projects. Current ProjectsCLIPAn EU FP7 project which aims to develop low cost conductive inks for printed electronics. NANOGAP´s involvement is to collaborate with the University of Santiago de Compostela in the development and supply of silver nanoparticles inks. The new inks will contain different size nanoparticles to improve particle packing and lower ink sintering temperature.
FLEXADA EUREKA funded project involving a collaboration that is seeking to develop high performance conductive adhesives to replace lead based solders used in electronic component manufacture. NANOGAP is developing and supplying conductive silver NanoFibre dispersions used as a key component in the new adhesives.
NANOPLATAFEDER funded project promoted by a Galician company. NANOPAP supplies silver nanoparticles to include in the formulation of a varnish as a biocide agent for wood-degrading microorganisms. Completed ProjectsFLUOROMAGAn EU FP6 project which aims to integrate the development of bioconjugated noble metal atomic quantum clusters as new highly absorbing, fluorescent and magnetic probes for increased sensitivity in cellular and molecular recognition. The commercial objective is to develop a computer controlled programmable array microscope utilising a liquid crystal on silicon spatial light modulator to achieve multi parameter sensing with high speed sectioning microscopy. NANOGAPs principal involvement in the project is through the development of the functionalised atomic quantum clusters. |
