Conductive PropertiesThere is a lot of current interest in the use of nanoparticle silver for conductive applications. These applications include conductive inks for printed electronics suitable for use in photovoltaic's, displays and solid state lighting. Other applications include conductive polymer composites and films that provide for example electrostatic dissipation properties. NANOGAP has two main classes of product for use as conductive additives. NGAP NP Ag-2103 is a mixture of quasi-spherical and rod-like silver nanoparticles. It can be supplied either dispersed in water or alcohol or as a powder, containing a small amount of polymer to avoid aggregation. The second class of product is NGAP Nanofibres, a high aspect fibrous material which provides efficient percolation at low concentrations. NGAP NF Ag-3101 is supplied as an aqueous or alcohol dispersion at concentrations up to 10% wt, and when dried to a thin film show only a five-fold increase resistivity compared to bulk silver.
